The NCSC is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1945. We are a
family oriented club with the objective of bringing together individuals
and families that share a common interest in equine events and community
conscientiousness. You don't need to own a horse to join the fun.
Each year the club sponsors several horseshows and mounted shooting
shows. Spectators are always welcome. See the listing of shows under the
2008 Shows & events link. We also hold community events on our grounds,
such as the Harvest Fest, Boy Scout camping and a Swap Meet. In support
of our local 4-H program, the club allows the Noble County 4-H Horse and
Pony club to hold weekly workshops on our facilities which are designed
to give the 4-H kids a safe place to learn and practice good horsemanship skills. Many of the volunteer workshop leaders are members of our Saddle Club.
Other events designed to benefit the community include the annual mock
horseshows held at several local nursing homes and the Christmas
Caroling on horseback event which collects food and donations for the
local community food pantry. We also participate in the majority of
local parades. The Saddle Club is always well represented at local
benefit events.
It's not all work at the Saddle Club. We also put a lot of effort into
having a good time and enjoying each other's company. Scheduled and
unscheduled camp-outs, trail rides, fun shows and numerous pot-lucks
keep our fellowship strong.
